Bathroom & Kitchen Renovations in Grosse Pointe Park MI

This was a fun project - 1.5 baths and a kitchen with a lot of creative problem solving.

In the master bathroom we removed an old alcove tub and shower (which felt like a cave) and replaced it with a bright and airy zero clearance shower. We closed off the second doorway to convert the bathroom from a Jack and Jill to a true master, which also allowed for a larger vanity with storage.

The half bath was a tight space, so our primary focus was on making it feel larger. We removed the old wall tile and replaced it with board and batten, replaced the door with a pocket door, and installed a pedestal sink.

The kitchen was the most fun. We opened the wall between the kitchen and breakfast nook so we could create an island-like peninsula. We removed the old soffits, reworked the electrical, and installed custom upper cabinets to display decorative pieces. New cabinet doors, range hood, range, custom peninsula cabinets, quartz countertops, tile floor, built-in storage bench, recessed lighting, and a marble backsplash helped pull this space together.
